In 2003, Anchalika left the corporate world in order to fulfill her ambition of building a dream retreat in her homeland, to create a new concept of luxury non - resort: the 'lifestyle retreat'.

Anchalika's previous career gave her a solid grounding in finance & accounting, operations, cross cultural management, market based pricing and risk analysis. She spent nine years with GE Capital in various leadership roles specializing in process improvement and financial control, managing projects in Southeast Asia, Europe and the US.

Today, Anchalika owns and operates two leading destination hotels in Thailand. She has subsequently incorporated AHMS (Akaryn Hospitality Management Services) to extend her vision to other properties. Anchalika holds a BA in Marketing from University of Texas (Magna cum Laude) and MBA in International Business (MIBS) from University of South Carolina.
