Mia graduated with a Degree in Rehabilitative Science and became licensed in the Philippines as an Occupational Therapist in 2000, with extensive knowledge in adult learning, psychometric testing, and ergonomics. She then dabbled in various management roles in the restaurant and hotel industry until finding her niche in Human Resources, specializing in Training and Development.

She took further professional training and has earned a Certification in Human Resource Management from Cornell University, New York in 2007.
